As the Customer Service Manager for TEC Infrared Grills, Tracy is on the front lines of communication with our customers. Tracy has been with TEC for almost 9 years and her helpful, upbeat personality is an asset to the company as well as to our customers.
Tracy took a minute out of her day to chat with us about her life outside of work. From outrageous grilling stories to inspirational quotes, Tracy gave us a glimpse of who’s behind that helpful voice on the phone.
A: During the Spring & Summer, I try to grill as often as possible. I’m always looking for new recipes, but my all-time favorite is pork tenderloin. It can be marinated ahead of time and is a fast, easy dinner.
Q: Hot dog or hamburger? Why?
A: Hamburgers are still my favorite thing to grill when family or friends come over. They’re done in less than 10 minutes so I can spend more time enjoying my guests.
Q: What do you do outside of work/hobbies?
A: I get bored easily so I’m always looking for fun, new things to do. I love spending time with my family, traveling, and reading. I really want to do something artistic like taking a stained glass or pottery class.
Q: Favorite sports team?
A: Clemson Tigers!
Q: Favorite expression, or what are you known for saying?
A: “The best things in life aren’t things.”
Q: What’s your favorite grilling story/memory?
A: My favorite grilling story is one that a friend told me. When she was a teenager, her brother was given the chore of cleaning the family’s grill. When he was finished, his parents were amazed at the job he had done. The grill was so shiny that it looked like new. Her father grilled burgers and hot dogs for dinner but when he flipped the meat over, silver stripes covered the food. Her brother’s secret was out – he had painted the grill an aluminum color instead of cleaning it!

Q: Can I retrofit my older TEC grill to the new FR technology?
A: No, the newer technology can’t be put into the older model grills. The size of the parts are different and the concept isn’t the same.
Q: How soon will my order ship?
A: We try really hard to get orders shipped out the same day. Most items ship within 24 hours of the order being placed.
Q: Do you still have parts for my older grill?
A: We do have parts for all of our grills even the ones that are 20+ years old and we offer technical support as well.
